About me
I'm Julia and I am a professional musician based in the Thames Valley town of Marlow. I specialise in providing the harp and bagpipes for functions.
I also play the clarinet and the cornet in local bands. So I'm well connected with other musicians and may be able to help you to find other ensembles for your event, eg organists, string quartets, singers, ceilidh bands.
Many of my customers have a keen interest in the music of Scotland and so I wrote a book on Scottish Music and created some courses on how to play the bagpipes. Links to both are on this site.

Focus on Functions - a principal by which I operate my business is that once I have been booked by a customer that is a firm commitment - even a subsequent enquiry by Royalty wouldn't compel me to cancel a previously booked wedding!
Bagpipes and Harp - I can provide both bagpipes and harp at the same function, using a quick change outfit so that I'm appropriately dressed for both. My clients that have taken this option have the ease of logistically organising only 1 musician and get a quality bagpiper and quality harpist at a reduced rate compared to if they had booked these musicians individually.
Hymn and Worship Repertoire - I have a large repertoire of music that includes pop songs, celtic, classical and traditional plus I'm happy to learn tunes for all my customers. Also, being a Christian myself, I like to specialise in offering favourite Hymns, such as The Lord is My Shepherd (both versions!) and modern Worship music such as In Christ Alone and Holy Forever.
